Just a few of our ministries...
Helping Hands is a 50+ group involved in helping local families in need and/or organizations that are also dedicated to helping the community. We meet the first Sunday of each month in our Sanctuary around 11:45. We are always looking for new members to bring new ideas to the group so that we may grow in our service to help the less fortunate and also to bring glory to God's name who has blessed all of us in abundance.
We have had fundraisers to raise money for the local fire companies and ambulance corps, Cornerstone Nursing Home, Northern Lehigh and Lowhill Food Banks, Thanksgiving Dinners for families in need, Turning Point, etc.
~Lay Eucharistic Ministry
This ministry is intended to be an extension of communion to members who are homebound or in residential care facilities. Conversation, prayer and Holy Communion is offered to the homebound. One full day of training is required.
~ Monday Night Bible Study
New Life sponsors 3-4 Bible studies per year on Monday nights from 7:00-8:45 p.m. This opportunity is open to anyone out of high school and beyond. We encourage intergenerational studies to New Lifers, their friends, their neighbors, and those in the community. Our studies range from 6-14 weeks in length. We alternate between a structured Bible study and a book-and-Bible study.
Studies are announced and posted in the News from the Pews - New Life's Monthly newsletter, the announcement packets on Sunday mornings, the midweek e-notes and projection screen announcements at Wednesday night service.
Consider joining us for an incredible time of study, discipleship and fellowship. Invite a friend. Your life will never be the same. Please do not hesitate to contact co-facilitators CLOAKING or CLOAKING with any concerns, questions, or requests for future studies. Please consider joining us! If interested in any of our studies, please let us know at your earliest convenience, so enough materials can be ordered.
We seek to unite women of faith together so that they can grow in unity, walking together as one body, with Christ as Head of the body. Women from New Life and the surrounding community will unite to nurture and support each other in spirit and heart.
World Missions invites you to experience fellowship through prayer, Bible study, and efforts to extend God's love in Jesus through word and works. Our study centers on creating hope in the midst of poverty, and our work includes help for children in Panama. Our meetings are held Sunday mornings during the learning hour, 9:00am - 10:00am in the church library.
